| EuroChamber Mongolia is pleased to announce that Austrian-Mongolian Business Forum will be held on 15 September 2023 at Shangri-la hotel.
10 Austrian companies are visiting Mongolia for the forum include companies in healthcare technology solutions, dairy and cheese systems, meat processing equipment and systems, ropeway engineering, education technologies, transport system in mining for dump trucks, 3D laser scanners and scanning systems for terrestrial, industrial, mobile, airborne and UAS applications, and lighting solutions.

"Business and Human Rights" Training on 21-22 September, 2023 |

EuroChamber Mongolia has been chosen as the contractor for the "Business and Human Rights" project, which is being implemented by the United Nations Development Program in Mongolia.
Within the framework of this initiative, EuroChamber will enhance the awareness of its member companies regarding the impact of business activities on human rights. It will explore the potential for safeguarding and upholding human rights through business operations. Additionally, EuroChamber will offer an assessment of "Business and Human Rights" for its members.
By engaging in the training and undergoing an evaluation within their own companies, our members can: - Amplify the potential for exporting products to developed markets like Europe and North America.
- Unlock opportunities to secure loans and financial backing from international financial institutions and banks.
- Garner the possibility of attracting investments from developed countries.
- Elevate their reputation on the global market.
- Establish avenues for supplying to international organizations and foreign-invested businesses operating within Mongolia.

UK Ambassador Presents Letter of Credence |

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Mongolia Fiona Blyth presented her Letter of Credence to the President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa on August 28, 2023. Mr. President congratulated the Ambassador on officially assuming her duty and wished her success.
Noting that this year marks the 60th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the United Kingdom, President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa stressed the importance of strengthening relations and cooperation between the two countries and facilitating high-level visits.
The newly appointed Ambassador Fiona Blyth expressed her readiness to actively work towards expanding relations and cooperation between the two countries.
Ms. Fiona Blythe has served as Principal Analyst in the UK Cabinet Office, Team Leader in the National Security Secretariat, Senior Policy Advisor in the United Kingdom Mission to the United Nations in New York, and Senior Political Affairs Officer in the United Nations Assistance Mission in Somalia.

German Ambassador Presents Letter of Credence |

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Mongolia Helmut Rudolf Kulitz presented his Letter of Credence to the President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa on August 28, 2023.
Mr. President noted the utmost importance of Mongolia’s relations and cooperation with the Federal Republic of Germany, the third neighbor of Mongolia. He expressed his confidence that the German Ambassador would exert his every effort to deepen and strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries.
The newly appointed Ambassador expressed his readiness to actively work towards celebrating the 50th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Germany in 2024 with significance, facilitating high-level visits, expanding trade and economic cooperation, and deepening ties between citizens of the two countries.
Ambassador Helmut Rudolf Kulitz has been working in the Federal Foreign Office since 1992. He has served as the Ambassador of Germany to Chad and in diplomatic missions of Germany to Egypt, Bulgaria, Chad, the Republic of Austria, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

His Holiness Pope Francis Lands in Mongolia for a State Visit |
| The Head of the Holy See Pope Francis has arrived in Mongolia for a State Visit at the invitation of the President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa.
When His Holiness Pope Francis landed at the Chinggis Khaan International Airport, Minister of Foreign Affairs B. Battsetseg and other officials welcomed him.
It is the first visit of the Head of the Holy See to Mongolia and his 43rd Apostolic Journey. Over 150 journalists from around the world have also arrived in Mongolia to cover the Visit.

Winter Flight Schedule Approved |

Upon discussion of the flight requests submitted by foreign and domestic air transporters, the Civil Aviation Authority of Mongolia (CAAM) approved the Winter Flight Schedule for the period from October, 2023 to March 30, 2024.
In accordance with the international schedule of take-off and landing flights, flights of 14 domestic and foreign air carriers to 19 destinations are planned for the winter season of 2023-2024. The total planned flights have increased by 35.5 percent compared to the pre-pandemic period of 2019 and by 61.5 percent compared to 2022. The number of flights of the MIAT state-owned JSC raised by 133.3 percent, and the number of flights of Aero Mongolia LLC increased by 13 percent compared to the previous year, reports the CAAM.

The hotel industry in Mongolia is experiencing a substantial growth. |
| As reported by the National Statistical Office, the revenue generated by the hotel industry in the first half of 2023 amounted to MNT 221 billion . This represents a notable increase of MNT 61 billion, marking a substantial growth of 38.1% in comparison to the corresponding period of the previous year. The increase in revenue can be attributed to the following several contributing factors: - Hotels designated with 3 stars or more observed a revenue growth of MNT 46.8 billion, signifying a substantial 42.3% increase.
- Non-rated hotels and resorts also experienced an upsurge in revenue, marking a rise of MNT 11.9 billion, translating to a growth of 25.7%.
In June 2023, the hotel industry's revenue reached 49.7 billion MNT, marking a noteworthy rise of 3.8 billion MNT—an increase of 8.2%—compared to the previous month.

The Blue Sky Messengers' Jazz Concert |
| More than 30 Jazz musicians from different countries of Europe and Mongolia played together at the Mongolian Philharmonic Hall on 30 August, 2023.
The Blue Sky Messengers is a Mongolian-European youth jazz orchestra created by EUNIC in Mongolia in cooperation with European and Mongolian partners.
The project is funded by EUNIC, the Franco-German Cultural Fund as well as the implementing members of EUNIC Mongolia, the Alliance Francaise Oulan-Bator, the Austrian Cultural Forum in Beijing, the Danish Cultural Institute in Beijing and the Goethe-Institut Mongolia with the support of the EU Delegation to Mongolia. |
