EBO-WWN is a global network of 55 European business organisations that amplify European businesses' voice in policy-making and foster cross-border economic partnerships. |

Health Working Group meeting
On June 7th, 2024, EuroChamber's Health Working Group convened to discuss the importance of ISO standards in the Mongolian healthcare system. During his presentation, Mr. Erdembileg, the Chair of the Health Working Group and CEO of SOS Medica International, highlighted how the introduction of ISO standards can help address the existing challenges in the country's healthcare system. Additionally, the working group discussed potential topics for future meetings and planned activities for the rest of the year. In partnership with Invest Northern Ireland and the Investment and Trade Agency of Mongolia, EuroChamber Mongolia organized the "Trade and Investment Opportunities in Mongolia" event on June 6th, 2024, at the conference room of the Investment and Trade Agency of Mongolia. During the event, Mr. Richard Seymore, Regional Director of Trade and Investment at Invest Northern Ireland, highlighted business opportunities in Northern Ireland. Additionally, Ms. L. Byambakhand, Policy Director at EuroChamber Mongolia, presented the preliminary results of the Chamber's "Trade and Investment Climate Statement 2024," which has been a regular publication since 2023.
A key highlight of the event was the panel discussion featuring Mr. Kato, CEO of Golomt Bank; Ms. Soyol-Erdene Byambaa, Chair of EuroChamber's Food and Beverage Working Group and VP of MSM Group LLC; and Mr. Erdembileg Tsedev, EuroChamber's Health Working Group Chair and CEO of SOS Medica International. They shared their perspectives on the opportunities and challenges of doing business in Mongolia. The panel discussion was moderated by Mr. Dan Mahoney, CEO of MahoneyLiotta LLC, and was followed by a Q&A session.

| On June 4, 2024, a fire broke out yesterday in the factory building of "Bayan Shuvuu" LLC located in Chandmani bag, Bayanchandmani soum, Tuv Province, and about 40% of all laying hens were affected.
In particular, an emergency call was received at 04:52, and the 26th firefighting and rescue unit of Songinokhairkhan district, the 18th unit of Bayangol district emergency department, and the 84th unit in Batsumber soum of Tuv Province worked at the site.
When firefighters arrived, the 18x110-meter sandwich building of the factory was on fire, and the fire was completely extinguished at 2:20 PM.

The value of the Mongolian stock market reached MNT 11.8 trillion in the first quarter of 2024, equivalent to 17.1 percent of Mongolian GDP.
In the first quarter of 2024, MNT 128.48 billion stocks were traded, an increase of 2.45 times compared to the same period of 2023. The value of stocks traded was MNT 8.9 billion in the primary stock market and MNT 119.58 billion in the secondary market. The top 30 traded company stocks were worth MNT 118.76 billion.

- “Khan Bank” JSC 8.75 billion
- “Bogd Bank” JSC 6.12 billion
- “Golomt Bank” JSC 4.7 billion
- “Trade Development Bank” JSC 3.23 billion

On the Mining Products Exchange, 5.22 million tons of coal were traded for MNT 2.38 trillion in 68 transactions, and 358.8 thousand tons of iron ore and enriched iron ore worth MNT 94.94 billion were traded in 59 transactions.
